Flexible programming

Depending on the graduate degree in elementary education you choose, your classes will take place in person, online or a hybrid of the two. This provides you with flexibility as you earn your master’s in elementary education.

Learn while doing

As you work toward your graduate degree in elementary education, you’ll complete a student-teaching practicum at an elementary school with grades 1–6. Through this experience, you’ll observe students and classrooms, develop and refine your teaching skills, design curriculum, practice effective classroom-management techniques and more.

Small class sizes, big opportunities

At 51��, your elementary education master’s degree courses are capped at 25 students. This individualized learning environment provides you with one-on-one time with your instructors and the chance to network and collaborate with your fellow graduate students.

They can share their insights on the modern classroom as you prepare for master’s in elementary education jobs. The College of Graduate Studies provides various opportunities for graduate students to receive funding while working towards their degrees. Appointments are competitive and are determined by undergraduate and/or graduate grade point averages, pertinent experience, educational preparation and interviews.
