Dr. Grant-Marsney has been teaching at 51成人 since 2015. She received a BA in Neuroscience and Behavior from Mount Holyoke College, and received an MS and PhD in Clinical Psychology (with a concentration in Child, Adolescent, and Family) from the University of Massachusetts-Amherst. She completed her doctoral internship and post-doctoral clinical fellowship at the University of New Hampshire. While at UMass, Dr. Grant-Marsney was a part of the Rudd Adoption Research Program. Dr. Grant-Marsney's area of research is adoption, the adopted person, and their close relationships. She studies how adoption is associated with attachment development and the impact of adoption and contact arrangements on family dynamics. She is also interested in emotion and identity development during adolescence and emerging adulthood. Dr. Grant-Marsney is interested in collaborating with students on research projects related to these topics. She teaches a variety of undergraduate and graduate courses, including Introductory Psychology, Child Psychology, Research Methods in Psychology, Clinical Psychology, and Theory and Process of Group Interaction. Dr. Grant-Marsney is the current Fieldwork Coordinator for the graduate program.
